Dr Jansen grew up in a suburb of Taipei, Taiwan, and subsequently studied German language and literature there. After studying abroad in Münster, she came to know and love Germany.

Mrs. Jansen holds additional qualifications in emergency medicine and diabetology.

Jerzy Jasinski

Mr Jasinski grew up in Lublin, Poland, where he studied medicine at the Lublin Medical Academy after finishing secondary school.

Starting 1971: Medical studies in Lublin and Krakow

1978 - 1981: Assistant physician at a hospital in Warsaw

1982 - 1993: Assistant physician and acting senior physician in an internal medicine clinic in Wiesbaden

Starting 1993: Established as a specialist in general medicine in Wiesbaden

1997: Foundation of the Diabetes Centre Wiesbaden (DZW)

Since 2022: Diabetologist at Dr Jansen's practice (now Diabetes Centre Idstein)

MUDr. Katarina Pastorakova

Mrs. Pastorakova studied human medicine in Prague and obtained her doctorate there. She then obtained her medical approbation in Germany.

2008 - 2016: Several positions as assistant doctor in Karlsruhe, Gladbeck and Cologne

From 2017: Specialist in internal medicine in the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetology, Sachsenhausen Hospital (Frankfurt)

Dr. med. Susanne Otten

After training as a healthcare and nursing assistant at Mainz University Hospital, Mrs. Otten completed her medical studies at Mainz University Medical Centre and obtained her medical approbation in 2014.

2015: Promotion on the topic "Computerbasierte Analyse histologischer Präparate atherosklerotischer Läsionen der humanen Arteria basilaris"

Starting 2015: Several positions as assistant doctor in hospitals in Mainz and Wiesbaden

2021 - 2022: Further training as a clinical pharmacologist, medical investigator

2022 - 2023: Employment at the Diabetes Centre Wiesbaden

2023: Obtaining the additional qualification in diabetology

Since 2023: Diabetologist at Dr Jansen's practice (now Diabetes Centre Idstein)

Mrs. Otten also has an additional qualification in emergency medicine.

Mrs. Otten is currently on parental leave and is expected to return to the practice in January 2025. 

Yes, as a new patient you are welcome to make an appointment by telephone or via Doctolib. During your first appointment, we will take plenty of time to assess your medical history and current condition. Please take a printout of your findings from other doctors with you or upload them to Doctolib before your visit. 

Am I welcome as a new patient?

In general, you are always free to involve other doctors in your personal (health) decisions thanks to the free choice of doctor. There is even a special process for certain procedures.

How can I support the practice?

Please always take your insurance card with you when you visit us. Unfortunately, we can only treat you in exceptional cases or in an emergency without proof of insurance. Please also note that the "eRezept" (electronic prescription) will only work if your insurance card has been scanned.

Do I always need my insurance card?

Please come on an empty stomach. Certain tests (e.g. blood sugar determination) cannot be carried out accurately if you eat.

You should not eat anything after 8 pm the day before. On the morning of the blood test, you may drink small amounts of water or unsweetened tea.

I have an appointment for a blood sample. What do I need to bear in mind?

Before an ultrasound of your abdomen (abdominal sonography), you should be as sober as possible, but at least try not to eat or drink immediately before the examination.

For the examination itself, it is advisable to wear clothing that can be easily pulled up or opened; for a thyroid ultrasound, clothing with turtlenecks should be avoided and, if possible, neck jewellery should be removed beforehand. 

What should be considered before an ultrasound examination?

Since the beginning of 2024, your prescription is sent electronically to the pharmacy, where you can then collect it with your insurance card. Simply use our order form on this website.

Important: You must scan your insurance card once a quarter at our practice, otherwise the eRezept will not work. After the first prescription in the quarter, you no longer need to come to the practice.

How do I receive my "eRezept" (electronic prescripton)?

Disease management programmes (DMPs) are treatment programmes for people with chronic illnesses. This is why they are also known as "chronic disease programmes". 

The programmes are based on the latest research and are designed to ensure high-quality care for patients. They include, for example, good coordination of different treatments, regular follow-up checks, but also counselling and training for those affected in dealing with their illness.

In the case of diabetes mellitus, your family doctor can also take on a coordinating role. This enables close cooperation with us as diabetologists. 

What is a DMP?

If we have to close due to holidays or illness, we will inform you on this website about our medical representatives in the vicinity of the practice. The practice representing us does not have access to your medical records, but can provide you with prescriptions if you need them, for example.

What should I do if the "Diabeteszentrum" is closed?

Sehr geehrte Patientin, sehr geehrter Patient,

die Praxis Dr. Jansen erstrahlt ab Juli als Diabeteszentrum Idstein in neuem Glanz. Ziel ist es für möglichst viele Patientinnen und Patienten in Idstein und Umgebung eine moderne und gerechte diabetologische Versorgung zu ermöglichen. Für Neuaufnahmen sind wir ebenfalls offen.

Das Team um Frau Dr. Jansen ist das alt-bekannte. Durch den neuen Träger ermöglichen sich Investitionen und ein Ausbau des Ärzteteams, der ab Januar 2025 geplant ist.
